Where Philosophy (in its worldly conception) is a competitive race to throw material onto a heap whilst it is shaken away at the base; where the person who throws the most material onto the heap will be remembered while the rest are swept away into a dustbin (in earthly not now divine terms).

Note that there are no limits to this game, where in each generation there may arise a plural of philosophers who have heaped a lot of good shit onto the mountain heap of our collective thought. So in our own generation Peterson, Zizek, Dugin, and Langan have heaped quite a big load onto the thought mountain. The interesting thing is how their respective legacies are carried on by the next generation to join in on this heaping race.

Though this may sound derogatory of the state of philosophy, it really is not. It is a reality of the economies of thought as well as can be applied to the economies where intellectual property is the base, base in sales, and product.

Sometimes it is the marketing which determines what teams the new generation of philosophers is on. Right now it may seem as though Jordan Peterson is in the lead, yet how many people have truly read his Magnum Opus ‘Maps of Meaning’ compared to how many people are reading Langan’s ‘The Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe,’ and the team that is carrying on Langan philosophy is more cohesive, dedicated, and dogged, whereas Peterson is pop culture. This is not a dig on Peterson himself nor his work - I myself consider myself Petersonian. Yet I witness the subculture developing under Langan’s tutelage and the force of his physic/reality theory metaphysic in producing lingo and sub-jargon and it is amazing to me.
